Leicester and Swindon meet again tomorrow in the return Elite League fixture and the Lions will be hoping for the same outcome when the two teams last met at Beaumont Park in April.
That night Leicester put an end to two previous home defeats with a 50 points to 42 win against the Robins.
“I will be looking for the boys to repeat the same spirit and will to win again against Swindon. Our home form has been a cause for concern. With a little luck we could have won three of our last four matches at Beaumont Park. We have come fantastically close against some very good sides and whilst last heat deciders are great entertainment for the fans we need to convert those near misses” said Team Manager Norrie Allan.
Saturday’s meeting sees the return of Leicester’s former captain Jason Doyle who spent two seasons at the club during which time he scored over 600 points in 54 appearances. The Australian International is supported in the Swindon team by four of his fellow countrymen and at reserve is another former Leicester rider, Charles Wright who is partnered by Stefan Nielsen, a double British Under-19 Champion.
Meanwhile, the Paul Chapman and Sons Lions welcome back Patrick Hougaard who missed the fixture in Wiltshire on Thursday due to his preparation for tonight’sDanish National Championship Final and bring in Newcastle’s Ludvig Lindgren as a guest replacement for the unavailable Szymon Wozniak.
